Versace Bright Crystal Review

Here I have a review for you! About perfume! Yay! I love perfume. I especially love Versace Bright Crystal, which is what I'm talking about today. I remember, jeez, like three years ago when this first came out, I wanted it so badly! But one of my co-workers at the time had just purchased it and I don't relish sharing fragrances with anyone, I like to have my own signature (for the moment) scent.
One of my biggest problems with Bright Crystal, however, is that it does not last long on my skin. So I began searching for a gift set which would include a lotion and a bath gel of some sort so I could layer the fragrance and thus gain longer wear from the fragrance. A few months ago I stopped by Nordstrom which is right around the corner from my store, and I usually frequent the perfume counter to see if there are any new perfumes and to get samples (yep, I'm one of those.) They happened to have a good package deal going on for Versace Bright Crystal. It came with the full size 3 oz bottle and a mini bottle, I think 0.17 oz and two mini bottles of the body lotion and shower gel, all for hmmm I think it was $89?? Pretty good considering lists the 3 oz bottle by itself as $88!

Anyway, here is what has to say about Bright Crystal: "Inspired by a mixture of Donatella Versace's favorite floral fragrances, Bright Crystal eau de toilette is a fresh, sensual blend of refreshing chilled yuzu and pomegranate mingled with soothing blossoms of peony, magnolia, and lotus flower, warmed with musk and amber. Notes: iced accord, yuzu, pomegranate, peony, magnolia, lotus flower, acajou, vegetal amber, musk. Style: Sheer. Sensual. Luminous." I'm always a fan of having some musk or amber or vanilla or sandalwood or something to cut the sweetness of a floral scent. Don't get me wrong, this scent is still definitely soft and feminine, but it also feels sensual and grown-up because of the amber and musk.

Funnily enough, I still haven't worn this fragrance with the lotion or after using the shower gel in the shower so I don't know how much longer this scent would last on me with those added benefits. I like to wear a different scent each day depending on my mood so layering hasn't been an option for Bright Crystal yet. But I'm certain the scent would last longer if I used even just the lotion, and surely the shower gel as well.

Well that's it for me tonight, folks!

Walgreens Haul

Last post for the day. Just a nice look at the awesome colors I got at Walgreens. On nights when I have to close, if I had a crappy day, then sometimes I stop at the Walgreens on the way back to my house because they have a pretty good selection of colors. You'll see what I mean!

Top row, left to right: Revlon Cotton Candy, Violet; Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz; Sinful Colors Hazard, Innocent.
Bottom row, left to right: Wet N Wild Party Of Five Glitters, Grays Anatomy, Hannah Pinktana, Buffy The Violet Slayer, FuchsiaRama,, Teal Of Fortune, Wild Card.

Cotton Candy from Revlon is one of those smelly ones. I didn't inhale too much while I was in the store (that would look mighty suspicious) so I dunno if it actually smells like cotton candy. The main reason I got it is because I saw it on another blog and loved it, so of course, next thing I know I'm at Walgreens looking for it. I had wanted Purple Pizzazz for a while!! And that Walgreens is great when it's fully stocked cuz there it was waiting for me! The Wet N Wilds I'm real excited for, especially the glitter of course! And I understand the tv name reference but some of them are so eye-rolling-ly BAD... I'm looking at you Hannah Pinktana... but FuchsiaRama?! That one is awesome! Not only do I LOVE that show, I love the color and the name is so clever!

Speaking of Futurama... don't be jealouse of my Droidberg t-shirt! Hehehe!!! =D
(I'm a nerd.)

St. Paddy's Day EOTD

So here's the makeup for St. Paddy's! Also, don't ask me why I say St. Paddy's. I think it reminds me of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". I love that show. So I totally just forgot until now that I haven't posted my Coastal Scents palettes, which is where these shadows come from, so I'll still post these, but I need to post those soon, cuz those palettes are awesome! Anywhatsits, here it is!

BOO for wearing all black at work! Hah, at least that makes wearing bright green eyeshadow a lot easier.

St. Paddy's Day Themed Nails

The first of my nail looks started with Forever 21 Love & Beauty Mint and I loooooooved that one! I decided that I was going to try jazzing it up a little so I layered stuffs over it.

This is Forever 21 Love & Beauty Mint by itself and it's a beaut! I love the subtle blueish shimmer, it makes it more interesting than just another mint cream polish.

Then I did kind of a gradient with China Glaze Mistletoe Kisses and added a light layer of Sinful Colors Nail Junkie all over for sparkle!

St. Paddy's Day Green Polish Spam!

Finally!!!! Seriously, I never knew I had so many green polishes. It's like I bought two and while I was away they multiplied. I wish that's how things work... Anyways, here are lots o' green colors to feed your lingering craving for green even after St. Paddy's. I hope everyone had a drunk day! I wish I did! I had to work, phooey. All Irish people, no matter how little Irish there is in your blood, should be able to take that day off to get hammered. LOL oh well. And I didn't even get any mashed potatoes! Boo.

CVS Haul

Hey all, quick update. This is a nice little haul I got a couple weeks ago. I've been trying to swatch my green polish collection, and I really didn't think I had that much green in my collection, but jeez was I wrong. Slow going which is fine since St. Patty's is next week. Anyhoos, here's what I got:

Top row, left to right: Confetti Dressed To The 9's, Papa-Razzi, Conga Line, Happy Birthday!, Purple Parade, Belle Of The Ball, Party Hearty, Tiara; Orly Out Of This World.
Bottom tow, left to right: 10 Professional Nail Lacquer Creamcicle, Moonlight; Essie Mochacino, Trophy Wife, Beach Bum Blu, Coat Azure, Turquoise & Caicos.

I am the MOST excited for the Essie colors I picked up! At the Pure Beauty in my mall, they have the standard boring Essie pale pinks, so I was so happy to find some of the "out there" colors! Also, I can't wait to try that Creamcicle (even though they misspelled it...) because I'm hoping it looks like RBL Starfish Patrick!!!! And the Orly color I had seen at another CVS near the bf's house and I've wanted it ever since, and it happened to be at the CVS near me! So yay!

So I'm a huge dork and I'm watching Bare Minerals on QVC right now... it's inspiring me to do a review on the new skincare... haha be right back!
