Start of Spring Training!!!!!

GRRR can't sleep because my stupid tooth hurts really badly... So here's another update.

First of all, can we just talk about the love of my life for a second here? After all, today is the start of Spring Training!!!!!!! If you didn't know already, I freakin love baseball, and my team, the San Francisco Giants, are the reigning World Champs. God that feels good to say that. And here's the love of my life, the Freak, Tim Lincecum:

Yep, don't even worry about it, we're getting married. This is Tim warming up during a training session. Pretty amazing, if you ask me. GAH I am such a sucker for guys with long hair. Long hair? Yes please. The bf used to have long hair... key word "used" to. Ugggghhhh.

Mmmmm hair and arms and yesssss...

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh suuuupppp ponytail?????? Hells yeah, hot damn.

Look at these studs!

Mark De Rosa, Timmy, and Pat Burrell. GREAT smile <3

Next, I suppose nowadays you can't even mention the Giants without mentioning the Beard.

Yes, I speak of the one and only, Brian Wilson. That beard is insanity. And he's only like the funniest guy in sports.

I mean, come on! Really?! You're so awesome. I can't even stand it.

Seriously, once you get past the fact that his beard is ridiculous and awesome all at the same time, how would you feel if this beast were hurling a fast ball at your skull at 99 MPH?! He looks like he'd rip your heart out and eat it! But then he'd say something hilarious and witty and you'd forget that you just blew the World Series... thanks Nelson Cruz... :)

Hey whoa don't forget the work horse, Matty Baseball!! I mean, Matt Cain:

Look at these winners! Love them. I love Matt's hair... it's so curly. GAH we have such an awesome team. And look at that! Never will that be taken away from us, we will forever be the World Champs of 2010!! Here's hoping for a repeat awesome year!!!!

Okay, enough dorking out... hehe :)

OPI Expert Touch Lacquer Remover Review

By the way, I used to think nail polish removers were all the same. Why buy the pricier ones when I can get the cheaper version from CVS? Oh yeah, that's right, cuz the cheaper ones suck. No joke. At one point in my nail polish life I thought "Hmm, there must be a reason why OPI makes their own nail polish remover..." and it must not be just because they can make more money off of me. It must be because it works well with their product, as with any brand. But this remover works well with ALL brands, at least from my experience.

So without further ado, here's OPI Expert Touch:

A regular bottle that you would find at any beauty supply store is 120 mL or 4 Fl. oz and at Peninsula Beauty (where I usually get mine since Pure Beauty is almost always sold out) it costs me $5.99. Eeep. Oh well, if it does the job. I think at Beauty Land or whatever its called, the same size is $4.98 or something, so only a dollar savings. I don't mind paying more for nail polish remover, however, if it removes everything. In fact, at Pure Beauty I saw a huge gallon or something of this stuff for $25!! If I wasn't on a budget I would have got it. I still might, maybe if I see something like it at Sally's (which I need to visit by the way...).

My point is: When I was swatching those old Sinful polishes, I tried using a generic nail polish remover to save some of my OPI remover for when I really need it. I ended up using it anyway to clean up what the other remover failed to take off. I LOVE THIS STUFF. End of story.

Old Sinful Colors Swatches

Just starting by brand with the old polishes I got, and now here's some really old Sinful Colors, in the old bottle and everything! I'm not sure they even make these colors anymore!

Fuchsia Purple
I remember wearing this all the time! See the nice dent in the polish? Yup, good times. I'm probably not going to keep it though, the formula was thin plus it's not very unique.

Surf N' Blue
Wtf is that name? Anyway, I remember this one too! But it's so disappointing seeing it again and getting really excited about the purple shimmer in the bottle but then seeing it on the nail and it just looks blue... boring. I dunno, I might keep it, but I have a lot of other cool blues with hidden purple shimmer that you can actually see.

Fire Red
An old staple of mine. There's a hidden golden shimmer that doesn't really translate onto the nail, so I'll probably ditch this one too.

Pacific Ocean.
Don't be fooled by this one. It's gorgeous on the nail! But it's sheer as all hell. I glooped it on just to see how it would look if it were opaque, and it looks all swirly like water! I'm on the fence about this one. It's definitely unique (at least I don't have anything similar) and it looks great if I put like 17 layers of it, but it's sheer and it's old and as you can see from the bottle, it's collecting in some places and it needs thinner. We'll see about this one.

Australian Peach.
Now this one I am DEFINITELY keeping! It's so weird!! It doesn't look as orange and mustardy on the nail but it does have those tones. OMG I can't believe my luck with this one! It's so gorgeous!!!

Bloody Mary.
I have a feeling I may have bought this only for it's name. Haha. I love that story... you know, stand in front of the mirror at midnight with only a candle lit and say "Bloody Mary" three times or whatever... and she's supposed to appear or I dunno... haha I think that's why I loved "The Ring" so much... breaking that fourth wall... ANYWAYS I digress. This one was awful to work with. Very thick and gloopy, plus the color isn't that interesting... still I may work with it to make it cooler and worthy of the name "Bloody Mary".

Well, those are the old Sinfuls. I had another one, Dream On, but I have that in the new version so I didn't need to swatch it again, especially since the old one is all dried up and gloopy. We'll see what happens with these, but I definitely am in love with Australian Peach! Now time to slap some green on. :)

Katy Perry Purr Review

So, I have to admit, I used to dislike Katy Perry. I'll tell you why, and I'm going to be frank about myself. I like girls and I like boys. Right now I'm dating an awesome guy, but I have dated girls in the past. Her song "I Kissed A Girl" doesn't sit well with me. I don't like the idea of dumb drunk girls going around kissing their friends just to get a rise out of guys. Let me tell you something; it's very misleading!!! If you've ever been in that situation where you like someone and you think they might like you but then you find out they were just pretending to be something they're not... ugly mess! ANYWAYS. Now, I don't mind Katy Perry. I still hate that one song, but I've grown to like her other songs (YAY "Teenage Dream") and I do like her style, especially her nails, of course!

And now on to the real post. I was walking into Nordstrom after work one day to check out some perfume samples and the lady working the counter said my hair (it's got purple streaks in it) would match perfectly with the new Katy Perry perfume bottle.

OMFG are you kidding me??? This bottle is freakin adorable!! Here's what has to say about this lil gal: "Purr by Katy Perry eau de parfum begins with the aroma of peach nectar and forbidden apple, evolves with a distinct floral bouquet of jasmine blossom, Bulgarian rose and vanilla orchid, and slowly reveals accents of creamy sandalwood and musk. Like the singer herself, Purr is playful yet sophisticated. Katy Perry transcends barriers with her music—so does her new fragrance." Hah, it's kinda cheesy but whatever, I am very intrigued by the vanilla... Plain vanilla, like DKNY Pure, smells AWFUL on me. It smells nice at first, then it smells like the incense or oils or whatever it is at church. Purr does not smell like that on me. It smells fruity and slightly flowery but then you get the whiff of vanilla and musk so it is right in the middle of not being too sweet and young but not smelling like a grandmother (sorry, Grammy). lists a 1.7 oz bottle for $45 and a 3.4 oz bottle for $65. Not too bad, and even though I don't love the perfume, I'd still pay the extra $20 for the bigger size because that bottle is so freaking cute.

Ginormous Nail Polish "Inheritance"??

Well, I dunno what else to call it because I didn't buy any of these (at least not recently). I walked into my room today to find a fantastic little Garfield lunch bag thingie and right away I knew I recognized it and sure enough, it was filled with old nail polish!!!!! My mom is moving and my sister is moving in with me, so I'm sure they're finding a plethora of old, stinky nail polish for me!!! Hehe! Anyhoos, most of these I'll probably be getting rid of, but some I may have to get over their terrible stench and use every once in a while because these colors are ridonkulous!!!!

Top row, left to right: Sinful Colors Fuchsia Purple, Surf N' Blue, Fire Red, Pacific Ocean, Australian Peach, Bloody Mary. Essie Burma Ruby. Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Amber Ruby, Ruby Sapphire, Garnet Lapis, Purple Diamond.
Bottom row, left to right: Hot Topic Red Star Polish (this one actually doesn't have a label, but based on how this next is named, I just went with it), Blue Star Polish. Creative Nail Design Plum Puckered Out, Cuppa Joe. Le CHAT Purple Passion. NYC #107A. Jessica no label. Sally Hansen no label.

Top row, left to right: OPI Do You Lilac It?, At Your Quebec And Call, Cozu-Melted In The Sun, ChicaGo Get A Manicure!, Nantucket Mist, Melon Of Troy, Red Hot Ayers Rock, Romeo And Joliet. L'oreal Bijou Gems B. Vibrant. Sinful Colors Dream On. Revlon Color Stay Forever Scarlet. Forever 21 Love & Beauty Currant, Purple. Hot Topic no labels.
Middle row, left to right: Cover Girl Nail Slicks Winelighting. Cover Girl Continuous Color Gold-Mine, Classic Red. Sally Hansen no label. Revlon Valentine, Lily Chrome, Cherry Crush, Revlon Red, Cherries In The Snow, Enchanted Cherry, Va Va Va Bloom, Tidal Wave, Mystical.
Bottom row, left to right: Maybelline Cherry Carats, Cherry On, Pink Splash, Twinkling Turquoise, Spiced Cider.

Were you possibly sensing a theme with that last picture?? Haha a lot of the red/pink colors have the word "cherry" in them. If you didn't know, I LOVE cherries. I even have them tattooed on me! Ahaha. Anyways, I'd wager a guess that most of the colors in the first picture are from my mom since she used to go to this one lady to get her nails done, Pat, and Pat would always let me take home some of the older colors or colors I really liked. The second picture contains colors that I probably purchased from 6th, 7th and/or 8th grade through high school. When going through my awesome punk phase, I stuck with mainly red and black nails, hence all the red nail polish.

I'm going to try swatching all these so if I get rid of most of them, at least I'll have a nice picture to remind me of the boring shade and it's lovely stench.

I'm also planning on swatching all of my green shades so you'll all have some nice green nails to look at just in time for St. Patty's! YAY GUINNESS lol. I know it's still February but eh... since getting back into nail polish I seem to be getting really excited for any national holiday for a chance to get creative on my nails!

Valentine's Day Nails

GAH one more before I forget and before it becomes March. Eeep. I can't believe how the time flies... BUT it's for the best seeing as SPRING TRAINING STARTS SOON!!!! Yessssssssssss.

Here are a few nail designs I did for Valentine's Day. The first two were my "pre" Valentine's Day looks and the last one was for the actual day.

So for the first mani I started out with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pink. I think they really wanted to call this "Pepto" Pink because that's what it looks like and that's what "Presto" sounds like... Hmmm... Anyway, a very vibrant and lovely bubblegum pink shade.

Then I layered a whole buncha other crap on top of that. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeealllyyy wanted Wet N' Wild Prancer but I cannot find it anywhere so I made it up by using glitter from the craft store. Obviously in my hand you see Nicole by OPI Have A Heart. This baby got a lotta use for these Valentine's Day manis. Love it. So cute and glitzy. Lots o' compliments.

The next mani started out with Nicole by OPI Play Fair. A soft and lovely shade of bubblegum lilac, if you know what I mean.

And of course we have to have Nicole by OPI Have A Heart again on top to give it that extra festive look.

Finally, we have the official Valentine's Day mani. First I used OPI Hawaiian Orchid as a sheer base. Then I used OPI Color So Hot It Berns, followed by Milani Red Sparkle on the tips, and last but not least Nicole by OPI Have A Heart strategically placed on the tips as well.

I loved that final manicure soooooo much but it only lasted that day because four nails on my left hand were broken and one on my right hand, so I decided it was time to chop them off. Oh well. More NOTD's coming soon, I have a lot of catching up to do!

Valentine's Day Looks

WOW sooo many posts. Why am I still awake? I have no idea...

Anyhoo! The first look is the one I did on Valentine's Day. I don't have the full face shot to show, only the eyes, sorry. If it makes you feel any better, I was wearing a red lip with the look! Very shexxy and Valentine's-y.

SO! Purple. Of course. AND IIIIIIIIIIII will always love yoooouuuuuuuu, purple eyeshadow... Everything is Bare Minerals, except I think for my highlight color, which is most likely Tissueweight from MAC.

True Gold on the inner corner, Wowza on middle lid and out into the crease, and Sugar Plum in crease.

Please excuse the shiny skin.

Also please excuse the mascara on my lid?! Argh.

So this next look I actually did the next day and unfortunately I liked it waaaaay better. Oops. Oh well. These are all Bare Minerals colors.

ZOMG this look includes two of my most favorite colors: Beautiful Lisa and Angel. I guess you can also include Cultured Pearl since I use it a lot, but then technically it's not one of my "favorites".

Cultured Pearl on the inner corner and as highlight, Beautiful Lisa on middle lid and Angel in the crease.

A softer Valentine.

GAH look at Beautiful Lisa in all her glory.

Oh look, the rest of me! Why hello tattoo... I love you... anyways... Glee Radiance probably on my cheeks aaaaaaannnnnnndddddd... I dunno on my lips.

Hopefully everyone had a happy, safe and healthy Valentine's Day! I unfortunately had to work until closing so I didn't get to see the bf... but he did send me a picture of my flowers he got me :)

YAY! Hehehehe.

And just to make everyone jealouse, here's one of my favorite pictures of us together!

This was from New Year's Eve. Man that night SUCKED but at least I looked cute for the beginning of the night! He always has to make a stupid face. >_>

Anyhoosier... Have a wonderful day now I guess since it's almost 8 in the morning... time for bed?

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Review

So now it's time for a real post after being all serious! And here's my first perfume review! Gah, I love perfume.

Today we have Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh:

The original Daisy smelled terrible on me... my body chemistry must have been waaaay off. But not with this baby! It's delightfully spring-smelling and feminine. says Daisy Eau So Fresh's notes consist of: "Natural Raspberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Violet, Wild Rose, Apple Blossom, Musks, Cedarwood, Plum" in the style of: "Exhilarating. Bubbly. Playful." This is in comparison to the original Daisy's notes: "Strawberry, Violet Leaves, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet Petals, Jasmine Petals, Musk, Vanilla, White Woods" in the style of: "Bright. Alluring. Eternal." It's funny how the word "daisy" only shows up in the name... hmmmm...

Pricing on lists a bottle of 2.5 oz for $70 while the 4.25 oz is $85. I love this scent so much! It really reminds me of spring and I have no doubt that I'll be bathing in this for quite a while... that is, until I discover another awesome new one!

ZOMG an update!!! After so long... but I hardly think anyone noticed...

Anyways, just had to put some thoughts on this subject somewhere!!!

This is rather a touchy subject so I'm going to put it after the jump, so if you're interested in helping this cause, by all means read further. But if you have different feelings than I do and do not agree with my beliefs, please DO NOT waste your time and mine.

The subject: Planned Parenthood is in danger of having their funding cut. I firmly believe in supporting Planned Parenthood, so, as I said, if you have different opinions on the subject do not click "read more".
